As I open a white paper sack and look inside, i see that there are these brown, dirty ball like things. As i inspect more, i observe that they are a root crop known as a Potato. Now how can this dirty, brown root can be made into so many tasty meals is beyond my realm of thinking. We make mashed, french fry, chips, hashbrowns and many more delicious meals with this root. As I sit here thinking about it, a potato is an important staple in most all of our meals.

When I think of a king I think of HenryVIII, a maniacal tyrant, who at the time was the head of one of, if not THE, most powerful countries on earth. He had the power over life and death, almost god like, to the people of England. Most kings at that time, unlike today, were the government of the country. They had the power to send soldiers off to war, take over weaker countries and the like. In my view I can’t understand how the people of these countries could be brainwashed into letting one single man control their lives and actions.

At one time I thought that cell phones were rather useless. I would travel around and watch people with them pasted to their ears, and hands moving all over while driving. I finally purchased my own phone about seven years ago. I use it for my personal use, also for business. I try not to make calls while in my car, due to the fact that I have seen many accidents, because of cell phones, in my travels as a tractor trailer driver. With the technology of todays phones, pricing, and plans, there is no excuse not to have one, also there is absolutely no excuse to be driving with a cell phone pasted to ones ear.

A snapshot of me writing a blog January 24, 2008

I set up my camera near my computer and started the timer to capture some images of me typing. I am typing my blog in this new sight I set up for Eng11. What was captured on film was not pretty. All that is seen is this lump staring at a computer screen with his mouth open trying to figure out what the hell a blog actually was. The camera captures an image of me sitting there, looking around, scratching my head, fiddling with papers, simply not having a clue as to what to write about. I am so glad that these pictures are not being posted here on my site; my classmates would think that this guy sitting there is a goof.
